Alice Speak, NP

Alice Speak is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who brings a strong foundation of experience and compassion to the General Surgery team. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Utah. With over a decade of experience as a Board-Certified Emergency Nurse prior to pursuing her advanced degree, Alice considers herself a nurse first and foremost—an approach that deeply shapes her belief in patient healing. Her education and hands-on experience allow her to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while remaining grounded in empathy and advocacy. She has been recognized for both clinical excellence and mentorship, receiving the “Outstanding Student Mentor” award from Brigham Young University and the prestigious “DAISY” Award for extraordinary nurses.

Professionally, Alice is passionate about caring for patients whose lives have been impacted by traumatic events, and she is honored to serve patients here in Colorado as part of the surgical team. She is committed to making a meaningful difference in her patients’ lives through attentive listening, clinical expertise, and compassionate care. Outside of work, Alice feels most at home in the mountains. She loves hiking, rafting, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time on the water—anything that gets her outdoors and a little dirty. She shares her adventures with her Sheltie, Barkley, and also supports global humanitarian efforts through Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, reflecting her dedication to caring for people both locally and around the world.
