Amalia Michalek, PA-C

Amalia Michalek PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has been providing comprehensive surgical care with the General Surgeons of Western Colorado since 2021. 

 

She has expertise in General Surgery as well as Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. She has certifications in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.  She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, the top PA program in the nation. During her training, she served as Class President, was inducted into the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants and received the Iowa Physician Assistant Society Scholarship.

 

In her role at the General Surgeons of Western Colorado, she evaluates and treats patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings, interprets diagnostic studies, assists in the OR and performs bedside procedures. Amalia is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and values guiding patients through their surgical journey.  

 

Outside of medicine, Amalia enjoys running, cooking, playing board games, and spending time outdoors on the Western Slope with her friends and family
