Kristen Ohe, MD

Kristen Ohe, MD is a highly trained Surgical Critical Care Fellow currently based in El Paso, Texas. She holds a medical degree and specializes in General Surgery and Trauma/Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Ohe has completed an extensive educational journey, receiving diverse training experiences that have shaped her approach to patient care. She emphasizes the importance of understanding each patient's unique needs and maintaining good communication to achieve the best outcomes.

Dr. Ohe is passionate about helping patients overcome medical challenges. She finds great fulfillment in being able to "fix" problems with her hands and enjoys getting to know her patients and their families throughout their medical journeys. She believes in meeting patients where they are, partnering with them to work through their medical issues, and advocating for them to achieve their health goals.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Ohe enjoys exploring new places, both locally and through travel. She loves baking and cooking new recipes with her husband, Josh, and they both enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle. Dr. Ohe has a particular fondness for trying out local culinary experiences and breweries. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, she grew up hiking and playing sports such as soccer and tennis.

Dr. Ohe is married to her husband Josh, who was formerly active duty in the army and now works for the Washington National Guard. They currently do not have any children or pets but hope to expand their family in the future. Dr. Ohe cherishes spending time with her husband, close friends, and family members scattered throughout the country.

While her current fellowship in Texas has limited her involvement in community programs and non-profits, Dr. Ohe has a strong background in volunteer work. Before medical school, she served with AmeriCorps in Phoenix, working with refugee communities. She looks forward to settling into her new community and finding ways to give back, particularly with underserved populations.

For Dr. Ohe, her profession is about forming partnerships with patients and their families during critical times, working together to overcome medical issues and return to normal life. She is dedicated to clear communication and patient advocacy, striving to make a significant difference in her patients' lives.

Dr. Ohe and her husband are thrilled to begin this new chapter in Grand Junction and are eager to integrate into the community.
